CUTE – Cooperate, Understand, Tolerate, Empower in Struga, North-Macedonia

The “CUTE” Cooperate, Understand, Tolerate, Empower youth exchange took place in Struga, North-Macedonia at the banks of Lake Ohrid  between 10th and 19th August 2021. The project aimed at improving young people’s personal and professional skills regarding intercultural cooperation and selfawareness. The 10-day-long international youth activity involved 32 participants from Poland, Romania, North-Macedonia and Hungary. The Hungarian team was recruited and prepared by Hang-Kép Egyesület (Debrecen). The project was the second phase of the youth exchange that was in July 2019 in Hortobagy. This event was a step forward for the young change makers who has learnt about project planning, project management and how to plan and realize mini projects in their communities. The objectives of the exchange were to raise the awareness of young people of their inner and community values while being in nature and doing outdoor activities individually or in groups; to highlight shared values and initiate tolerance and acceptance for other and each other’s cultures; to empower youngsters to realize needs, plan and take actions and make a change in their smaller or larger communities and to realize their own strengths and goals.

The project was funded by the Erasmus+ Program.
