Huge Success at the Campus Festival with Theatre of the Oppressed methods

We had a great time at the Campus Fesztivál 2021 last week as part of it we organised the Theatre of the Oppressed Festival in Debrecen, Hungary. 60 people gathered in the Water Tower Nagyerdei Víztorony to share their legislative theatre and newspaper theatre plays that they developed and preformed in their local communities in the past 2 years. It was all in English and the groups did not know each other, so the first day was dedicated to getting to know activities and followed by 2 performances. Hungary started with a play, entitled Baby Boom that had a focus on fake news and how to verify or debunk them. Portugal continued with a legislative theatre performance focusing on environmental protection and the role of the local authorities in it. The project was supported by Erasmus+. The participating organisations: Hang-Kép Egyesület, Sound-Picture Association (HU), Teatro Metaphora (PT), ART Fusion (RO), Uskrzydlamy/We add Wings (PL) and Inter Alia (GR).
